On Tuesday, Nathanael and I went on a little trip to Mossvale in the Southern Highlands with our friends, Dan and Melissa. We went shopping, of course. Haha There are so many cute shops in Mossvale. I was so excited whe I spotted this beautiful fireplace surround and mantel piece in an antique shop. I was told that it is circa 1910-20.
Here is the firplace in our formal living room. Doesn't it look cozy? The owner of the antique shop was kind enough to deliver it for free. :-)
I'm not sure I will leave the fireplace in this room yet. It may end up in the family room. We shall see.....
Very nice indeed! :-) Hehe It looks good there, though. :-) But i'll guess you probably move it eh? I hope you find a place that your happy with! :-) To think of it being in someones home all that time ago, and what memories it must hold. How beautiful. :-) I love it! Love Melissa
My Handmade Doll Clothing Blog~ The Well Dressed Doll~
Beautiful, handmade doll clothing in old fashioned, Regency/Jane Austen, Victorian and Edwardian styles to fit the American Girl dolls or any 18 inch dolls.
My husband Ben, our three little boys and I now make our home in beautiful North Carolina.
Ben is Australian, so we lived in Australia for several years after our marriage, and our first two children were born there.
We love the Lord Jesus Christ, and strive to please him with our lives everyday!
This blog is mostly for sharing my hobby of home decorating, but family posts are frequent, as well. ;-)
