Rocking Chair Makeover

I am joining in on the "Before and After" party at the Thrifty Decor Chick's blog. This is my first "bloggie" party, so I'm quite excited. Haha http://www.thriftydecorchick.blogspot.com/ I couldn't get her fancy button thing to work ( I'm not so great at technology. Ha) So, this link will have to do.

Anyhow, here is a rocking chair that I bought a few months ago at a second hand furniture shop. I needed it badly at the time to nurse my newborn baby boy, so I made the cushion for it before painting it. It worked well, but I didn't care for the finish, especially not with all my cream and white furniture in the family/dining room.

So, I gave it a rough coat of white paint (Dulux Once brand) and added a decal. The paint job is far from perfect, but I got the whole thing done during one of Teddy's afternoon naps, and that was the important thing to me. And now, I think the chair is way prettier. And imperfections are very "shabby chic", anyway, right? Haha :-)

Hope you are enjoying looking at everyone's befores and afters! I always love it.

So sweet! I have a rocking chair that I rocked my babies in, and I really love it. You did a pretty good job for getting it done during naptime!

This is also a part of a regular exercise that the bird should partake. Without exercise, your bird will get out of shape and will get unhealthy. The more opportunities to fly, the healthier it gets.so that is why
flight bird cage is best choice for your bird.
